Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) P. Narayana, along with Swachh Andhra Corporation Managing Director Sunil Kumar Reddy and GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg, inspected the Biogas Plant and the Construction & Demolition (C&D) Waste Processing Plant at the Kapuluppada Dumping Yard on Saturday (September 19, 2026).

He enquired with the officials about the capacity of the plants, waste collection, processing methods, production, and other operational aspects.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister directed officials to further strengthen the system for segregation of wet waste at source and its transportation to the Biogas Plant. He directed that necessary measures be taken to ensure a continuous supply of wet waste from hotels, markets, function halls, commercial establishments, and other bulk waste generators to the plant. He said that effective production of biogas, electricity and organic manure from waste would contribute to environmental protection and improve overall waste management.
