M'sian TVB star Jacquelin Ch'ng slammed by sister for attempt to make contact with late mum on TV

Malaysian actress Jacquelin Ch'ng has been criticised by her younger sister Mona over a TV segment in which she attempted to communicate with their late mother, Datin Kong Yuk Chu.

The 46-year-old, who's based in Hong Kong, recently appeared on a variety show with a contestant named Angel, who claimed to relay messages from Kong.

During the session, Angel said the late matriarch – who died aged 82 in August – apologised for leaving Ch'ng to care for her younger siblings and claimed that she had experienced pain before her death.

Angel also correctly identified a gift Kong had given Ch'ng in 2002 and explained its significance, prompting the actress to describe the reading as "very accurate"

However, Mona, 39, later disputed the claims in a lengthy social media post, urging viewers not to take the segment seriously and insisting that "not a single thing is true".
