M-Pesa Foundation invests Sh27m in Kajiado school upgrade

Kerarapon Primary School pupils get a glimpse of the planned improvements during the groundbreaking ceremony for the school’s infrastructure project.
Kerarapon Primary School in Kajiado County is set for an infrastructure upgrade following a Sh27 million investment by the M-PESA Foundation.
The project will improve sanitation and security at the school, which has 515 learners and 15 teachers.
Established in 1962, Kerarapon Primary has for years relied on temporary mabati structures for its sanitation and utility facilities.
The upgrade will include construction of a 10-door boys’ ablution block and a four-door ablution block for teachers.
The project will also include secure perimeter fencing.
The works are expected to be completed in about 120 days.
