The Lynx have only four games remaining in the regular season, but they’re still fine-tuning their roster.

The league-leading Lynx signed Aari McDonald, a 28-year-old guard who played for the Indiana Fever last year, on Monday. Rookie point guard Eliska Joklova was waived.

The move signals the Lynx (31-9) opting for experience to bolster their backcourt depth ahead of the playoffs. They don’t play again until Sept. 18 because of the FIBA World Cup tournament in Germany this month.

McDonald, who led Arizona to the 2021 national championship game before becoming the No. 3 overall pick in that year’s WNBA draft by Atlanta, was a midseason addition for the Fever last year as Indiana dealt with a rash of injuries.
