Two men died after a stabbing incident at a bar in Marani Sub-County, Kisii County, with police suspecting a love triangle may have triggered the deadly confrontation.
Police said Bonface Amwoma Okeyo was allegedly stabbed inside a toilet at a popular club on Monday night.
The suspected attacker, Dennis Mayaka Asago, was later attacked by an angry mob after he locked himself inside another toilet, police and witnesses said.
Police said both men died from injuries sustained during the incident.
