Lorry driver arrested for running over security guard in Sholinganallur
A sewage lorry driver was arrested after fatally running over a security guard at an apartment complex in Sholinganallur. The victim, a migrant worker from Bihar, was killed while attempting to stop the speeding vehicle.

The police arrested the driver of sewage lorry after he ran over a 57-year-old man at an apartment complex in Sholinganallur late on Thursday.
A senior official of the Tambaram Police Commissionerate said Kirupal, a migrant worker from Bihar, worked as a security guard at a private apartment complex at Ezhil Nagar in Sholinganallur. When Kirupal was near the security cabin at the apartment complex on Thursday, a speeding sewage truck entered the premises. Kirupal tried to hail the driver in an attempt to stop the lorry, but was run over by the vehicle and killed on the spot. Following this, the truck driver fled from the premises.
