Lorry dash into tractor in Belagavi; 3 die, 10 injured

Three people died, and at least 10 others were injured in a road accident on the Belagavi–Kolhapur national highway near Managutti village in Belagavi district on Saturday (October 10, 2026) night. The deceased are Prakash, Mahesh and Daneshwari from Hunchyanatti village.
A lorry dashed into a tractor that was carrying an idol of Goddess Durga Mata from Belagavi to Hunchyanatti village. The truck also turned on its side after the impact, crushing some people and injuring others. Some youth from the village had bought the Plaster of Paris idol and were carrying it in a procession to the village.
