Lord Malayappa Swamy rides on Surya Prabha and Chandra Prabha Vahanams on seventh day of Tirumala Brahmotsavams

The seventh day of the annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara unfolded in a vibrant blend of devotion and tradition on Monday, with Lord Malayappa Swamy taken out in procession on the majestic Surya Prabha Vahanam along the four Mada streets of Tirumala.

Devotees raised devotional chants as the processional deity passed through the streets. Traditional artistes accompanying the procession performed chekka bhajans and kolatam, while the strains of mangala vadyams added to the festive atmosphere.

The Surya Prabha Vahanam, symbolising the Sun, is traditionally associated with health, vitality and energy. Devotees believe that a darshan of Lord Malayappa Swamy on the vahanam brings health, prosperity, happiness and well-being.

TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra, Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary and Chief Vigilance and Security Officer K.V. Muralikrishna, besides senior pontiffs, board members and other officials, participated in the vahana seva.
