Lokesh launches ₹3,100 crore expansion of Dalmia Cement plant in Kadapa district

Minister for Education, IT and Electronics Nara Lokesh laid the foundation stone for the Line-2 expansion of Dalmia Bharat Cement plant at Chinnakomerla village of Mylavaram mandal in Kadapa district on Wednesday.
The expansion project involves a financial outlay of ₹3,100 crore and will enhance the plant’s annual production from 2.5 million tonnes of clinker and 3.6 million tonnes of cement to 6.1 million tonnes and 9.6 million tonnes respectively.
Mr. Lokesh formally unveiled the foundation stone after participating in a ritual along with Dalmia Bharat’s managing director and chief executive officer Puneet Dalmia. Minister for Industries T.G. Bharath, district in-charge Minister S. Savitha, Government whip and Kadapa MLA Reddeppagari Madhavi Reddy, Jammalamadugu MLA C. Adinarayana Reddy, District Collector Sreedhar Cherukuri and TDP zonal coordinator R. Srinivasa Reddy were also present on the occasion.
