This lack of form led to Arne Slot being sacked and resulted in Andoni Iraola being appointed as Liverpool's new boss.
Since then, Liverpool have been unbeaten across all competitions and, even though there are a couple of areas that could still do with being upgraded, they seem to be doing well.
As much as this improvement in form is good for Liverpool, it doesn't mean that they've stopped planning ahead for their future with a new wonderkid now being linked with an Anfield switch.
