S
SI FC Staff
✦AI Summary
Liverpool and Wrexham are set to face off in a preseason friendly match held in New York City. The game serves as a high-profile test for Wrexham against top-tier Premier League opposition.
Why it matters
International preseason friendlies are increasingly used by clubs to expand their global brand and fan base in the United States.
Unlike the World Cup final, Liverpool and Wrexham will actually be contesting a soccer match within the confines of New York City. The stakes will be lower for this preseason friendly, but there’s a strong chance it will be a more interesting game.
