Liverpool make contact to sign phenomenal German super talent

Liverpool have made contact to sign an incredibly talented German player.
When Jurgen Klopp took over a decade ago, there was this perception that he was going to bring in a lot of German players.
Klopp certainly tried. He wanted Timo Werner , Julian Brandt and Mario Gotze at some stage in his Liverpool career.
But Liverpool opted to sign alternatives instead. These ended up being pretty good, with the alternative to Werner being Diogo Jota and the alternative to Brandt being Mo Salah .
Klopp did still recruit players from the Bundesliga though.
Dominik Szoboszlai and Ibrahima Konate came from there. As did Ryan Gravenberch , Joel Matip and Naby Keita just to mention a few players.
But the biggest player the Reds signed from Germany came after Klopp's reign.
There was so much excitement when the Reds beat Manchester City and Bayern Munich to Wirtz's services.
