A 40-year-old farmer was electrocuted at Jogyanur village in Gudupalle mandal near Kuppam in Chittoor district on Sunday (July 26, 2026) night after coming into contact with an illegally installed live electric fence.
The deceased was identified as Venkatesh. According to the police, he was returning home when he accidentally touched the fence erected in a neighbouring field and died on the spot.
