International Literacy Day was observed at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Bheemunipatnam on Tuesday. The District Adult Education Department organised an awareness rally and elocution competitions.
District Education Officer N. Prem Kumar, who was the chief guest said: “Literacy provides the foundation for individual and social development.” He stressed the importance of continuous learning and urged teachers and student-teachers to play a key role in promoting literacy.
