Pakistan pushed the panic button and made major changes to their Test setup after losing the first two Tests against England, dropping seven players and replacing two members of the coaching staff ahead of the third and final Test in Birmingham.After a 194-run defeat at Lord's, which gave England an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to overhaul both the squad and the support staff.Head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul have been called back to Pakistan. They will be replaced by white-ball head coach Mike Hesson and bowling coach Ashley Noffke for the final Test starting on September 9.The PCB has also sent home seven players. Wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, opener Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, spinner Ali Usman and fast bowler Khurram Shahzad, many of whom featured in the Lord's Test, have been dropped from the squad.
