Lewis Clareburt wins NZ's first Commonwealth Games gold in Glasgow

<p>Swimmer Lewis Clareburt has won the country's first gold medal at this year's Commonwealth Games with his effort in the 200m butterfly. </p> <p>The win has seen Clareburt defend his title won at Birmingham four years ago. </p> <p>The 27-year-old, who had qualified second for the final, looked well out of the running at the halfway mark, turning seventh, and then sitting fourth going into the final 50 metres. </p> <p>Commentators were in bisbelief as the reigning champ produced an epic late burst to storm home past Australian Harrison Turner, who had led the entire race.
