Leinster mark RDS return with comfortable Cardiff win

Leinster Rugby secured a 29-5 victory over Cardiff in their first match at the new Laya Arena. Despite some struggles with goal kicking, the team's attacking performance was praised as they prepare for the Investec Champions Cup.
Why it matters
The match marks a successful transition for Leinster to their new home venue and sets the tone for their United Rugby Championship campaign.
It's business as usual for Leinster, as they marked the grand opening of their new and improved Laya Arena with a 29-5 win against Cardiff, to get up and running in the URC this season.
After back-to-back defeats on their tour of South Africa, Leo Cullen’s side eased to their first victory of the campaign, as Sam Prendergast impressed in the five-try victory.
The 23-year-old looked full of confidence in attack on his first start of the season and was at the heart of everything good in the Leinster performance, and there appears to be a real willingness in the out-half to bring the ball to the line, which is making both he and others a bigger attacking threat.
