LayerFS: The filesystem for AI coding agents

LayerFS is a newly released filesystem designed specifically for AI coding agents, providing ephemerality and decentralized multi-agent coordination. It allows multiple agents to mount writable workspaces over shared history, commit changes, and fork recursively at zero cost.
Why it matters
It introduces a specialized infrastructure tool aimed at scaling multi-agent software development and reinforcement learning training.

LayerFS is the substrate under your agents. Each one mounts a complete, writable Workspace over shared committed history, does its work, commits what it changed, and goes away.
Ephemeral Computing 01 → Compute exists only while a command runs.
Decentralized Agents 02 → Agents on different computers share one serverless Store.
