The JB Nagar Police have arrested both the accused.
The victim, Amrutha, succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday evening while undergoing treatment at a hospital. The attack took place on July 13 near her house in Kodihalli.
According to the police, Amrutha and Dhanush knew each other through their families after meeting during Om Shakti Mala religious gatherings. The two later entered into a relationship.
Investigators said Dhanush had allegedly concealed the fact that he had been married earlier, was divorced, and had a child. After learning about his past, Amrutha ended the relationship.
