‘Lavanyam 2026’ to kick-start on August 24

‘Lavanyam 2026’, the annual Onam celebrations organised by the Tourism department, District Tourism Promotion Council, and the district administration, will be held from August 24 to 30.
Apart from the main venue of Durbar Hall open air auditorium, around 40 cultural programmes will be staged across 15 venues in the district. They include Veli ground in Fort Kochi, North Paravur, Kothamangalam, Piravom, Perumbavoor, Palluruthy, Pampakuda, Vypeen, Muvattupuzha, Kuttampuzha, Kadamprayar, Vasco Da Gama Square, and Kumbalanghi.
The inaugural function will be held at the Durbar Hall ground on August 24. It will be followed by Sinkarimelam, Sopana Sangeetham, and a cultural fete by differently abled people. A musical concert by Stephen Devassy will be the highlight of the day.
