Latvian central bank issues more crypto licences

The Latvian central bank has issued new crypto-asset and payment service licences to Noah LV SIA, a subsidiary of a UK-based firm. This move is part of Latvia's compliance with the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation.

A licence for the provision of crypto-asset services authorises Noah LV SIA to provide custody and administration of crypto-assets on behalf of clients, exchange of crypto-assets for funds, and providing transfer services for crypto-assets on behalf of clients. Meanwhile, the payment service licence issued to Noah LV allows it to operate as a payment institution is the execution of payment transactions, credit transfers, and standing orders. According to company data, Noah LV is a subsidiary of a company in the United Kingdom called Noah HQ Ltd, with an address in Regent Street, London which is owned by a Swiss citizen called Nasser Shahriyar Ramezani Moghadam and a German citizen called Manuel Stotz. UK company records list a third name, Dutch citizen Theodorus Marinus Maria Lamers, who does not appear in the relevant Latvian company records.
