Last surviving newborn from PIMS fire dies
The last surviving newborn from a fire at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has died after 22 days of treatment. This brings the total death toll from the hospital fire to 15 infants.

The baby, who was rescued alive from the blaze by a nurse, died at PIMS on September 17 after her condition continued to deteriorate following the fire.
The death certificate states that she died after cardiac and respiratory arrest.
According to the death certificate, the newborn had been admitted to PIMS on August 26 and remained under treatment for 22 days.
