Large-scale operation planned for Kinahan arrival

Daniel Kinahan has been extradited from the UAE to Ireland to face charges of directing an organized crime group. A major security operation is underway in Dublin to transport him to a high-security prison.
Why it matters
This marks a significant milestone in international law enforcement cooperation against high-profile organized crime figures.
The Government jet carrying Daniel Kinahan has arrived at Casement Aerodrome in Baldonnel, Co Dublin, after departing from Dubai earlier this morning.
The Defence Forces' new Falcon 6X departed Al Maktoum International Airport at around 10.15am and arrived at Baldonnel at 6.31pm.
The 49-year-old has been arrested and will be brought to the Special Criminal Court, where he will face a charge of directing an organised crime group.
Mr Kinahan has been detained in Dubai since last April, following his arrest under a warrant issued by the Irish courts.
He lost his final appeal against his extradition from the UAE.
A large-scale security operation is under way in Dublin following his arrival.
The security operation involves armed gardaí, the Defence Forces, and the Irish Prison Service, which recently purchased a bulletproof and bomb-proof escort van that can be used to move criminal gang leaders, terrorists, and other inmates deemed high-risk.
