Land trade behind their inclusion in prohibited list: BRS leaders
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders have accused the current Congress government in Telangana of mismanaging land records and using the prohibited list under Section 22A to facilitate land trades. They allege that the government is mortgaging public and university lands to secure loans.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao on Friday alleged that the Congress rule was centred around lands and that was the reason why the extent of lands in the prohibited list under Section 22A of the Registration Act had increased from 16 lakh acres during the previous government to 1.16 crore acres now.
A large number of 22A victims from areas in and around the city poured their woes following inclusion of their lands in the prohibited list.
During an interaction with the victims of 22A here, they said that, with a single stroke of pen, the Congress government had pushed the families having rights over their lands for generations into uncertainty.
