Land acquisition for Tumakuru Node progressing smoothly, says Minister Patil

Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil announced that land acquisition for the Tumakuru Node industrial hub is progressing well, with 30% physical completion. The project aims to attract significant investment and create over 88,000 jobs in Karnataka by 2027.

The land acquisition for Tumakuru Node (an Industrial Manufacturing Hub) has been progressing smoothly as the project is scheduled for completion in 2027, said Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil on Monday.
The Minister was speaking virtually at the third meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust, chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The State government has earmarked 1,736 acres of land in Tumakuru, which has the potential to attract an investment of ₹7,000 crore and generate over 88,000 jobs in the State.
According to Mr. Patil, the Tumakuru Node of the Bengaluru–Chennai Industrial Corridor has so far achieved 30% physical progress and 20% financial progress. Of the land earmarked for the project, 300 acres have been allotted for a Japan Industrial Township and 200 acres for micro, small. and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
