The former boy-bander said during Thursday’s episode of “ The Zach Sang Show ” that “Our first check was $10,000,” noting that the shockingly low amount came after “years of number one albums” and “sellout tours.”
“I don’t know how many millions I made off of merchandise because merchandise was insane,” he recalled.
Bass claimed that when he and his bandmates — Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone — were “finally” given a check for $10,000, they were told, “You should be grateful for that. You’ve been working for free for two, three years now.”
