The article provides insight into sports management strategies and the development of young athletes in professional rugby.
Former Leinster and Ireland hooker Bernard Jackman has said that Connacht's win over Saracens last Saturday was built on the backbone of Stuart Lancaster's progression of young talent.
Speaking on RTÉ Radio 1's Inside Sport, Jackman felt that the western province's result was the best of the four Irish victories, because of their young core.
"I saw Andy Farrell in the crowd in Galway, and he can't not have been impressed with what Connacht put out," Jackman said.
"For me it wasn't just the Bundee Akis, the Cian Prendergasts, the Ciarán Frawleys, who were all exceptional, but some of those youngsters (were brilliant).
"There's a young hooker there, Matthew Victory, who was a number eight in school, and now he's up against Jamie George, a British and Irish Lions hooker, and holding his own. Finn Treacy from Pres Bray and Thomas Connolly came off the bench for his European debut.
