Why it matters
The injury of a star athlete significantly impacts team performance and the competitive landscape of the NFL's AFC North division.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson left Sunday's 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans with an ankle injury and was replaced at the start of the second half by backup Tyler Huntley.
Per local reports, he left the stadium wearing a walking boot . He is reportedly set to undergo an MRI on the injury Monday, per ESPN.
Jackson was initially listed as questionable to return with the injury, but he remained sidelined for the rest of the game. The Ravens went scoreless without him after halftime and fended off a Titans rally from a 24-7 halftime deficit.
Ravens coach Jesse Minter told reporters postgame that the team doesn't "know enough about" Jackson's injury to provide a precise diagnosis, but said that the Ravens considered bringing him back into the game. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported after the game that Jackson is considered day-to-day with the injury.
