The Science Instrumentation Centre (SIC) and the Research and Development Cell of Lady Doak College, Madurai, organised a DST-FIST & DST-CURIE-sponsored training of trainers workshop on advanced laboratory instrumentation here on Saturday.
A first-of-its-kind programme, the workshop was exclusively organised for non-teaching staff, postgraduate students, and research scholars, with the objective of strengthening their practical competencies in the operation, maintenance, data interpretation, and troubleshooting of advanced analytical instruments.
A total of 64 participants from 14 colleges, attended the training programme. The workshop provided a platform for participants to gain hands-on experience and develop confidence in handling sophisticated analytical instrumentation.
A. S. Priscilla, Dean of Academic Affairs (Sciences) and Coordinator, Science Instrumentation Centre, gave the welcome address. R. Beulah Jeyashree, Principal and Secretary, Lady Doak College, Madurai, delivered the introductory remarks and formally inaugurated the programme.
