Lacson: Flood control probe must be thorough, free from obstruction

The ongoing investigation into the anomalous flood control and other infrastructure projects should be deliberate, methodical and thorough, and free from obstruction, Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson said.
Lacson pointed this out over the weekend as he rejected Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano’s characterization of the flood control probe as a “striptease” without evidence.
He said Cayetano’s remarks only exposed his ignorance of how investigations into complex corruption cases—involving the infrastructure projects in his turf in Taguig City—are conducted.
“It only proves Sen Cayetano’s ignorance of how an investigation of flood control anomalies and other sophisticated corruption cases works. It must be deliberate, methodical and thorough; not hasty nor sloppy,” Lacson said in a post on X late Saturday, referring to Cayetano's "striptease" characterization.
