Labour MP Tahir Ali Calls for UK Military Action Against Israel, Demands Its Disarmament

UK Labour MP Tahir Ali called for military action against Israel and its disarmament during a parliamentary debate on Gaza, comparing it to previous British military interventions in the Middle East over human rights abuses and threats to international trade.
Ali, who has represented Birmingham Hall Green and Moseley since 2019, made the remarks while Liberal Democrat MP Richard Foord was discussing the need to disarm Hamas.
Interrupting Foord, Ali questioned why similar demands were not being directed at Israel.
“Previous governments have intervened in the Middle East to take action to [guard against] human rights abuses and protect international trade routes. Isn’t it about time that military action is taken against Israel also?” Ali said.
