Share A A A Victorian educators would get a $2000 bonus with the signing of a pay and conditions offer from the government, as the new education minister attempts to avoid statewide school strikes planned for next Wednesday.
Teacher, principal and education support staff salaries would still rise by at least 28.3 per cent over the next four years as per the previous offer, but those at the top of their salary bands would receive a 1 per cent annual lump-sum payment, plus the one-off payment at the start of the new agreement.
