Kurnool Ridge School bags British Council’s international recognition

Ridge School in Kurnool received the British Council’s Recognition of International Dimension in Schools (RIDS) for 2026-2029. The award honors the school's integration of global perspectives into its curriculum.
Why it matters
International recognition for educational institutions highlights the growing emphasis on globalized learning standards in regional Indian schools.
Ridge School, Kurnool, was conferred the prestigious British Council’s Recognition of International Dimension in Schools (RIDS) 2026-2029 at a grand ceremony in New Delhi. The award was received by Ridge School CEOs Gopinath Guduri and Sowmya Gopinath in the presence of RIDS coordinator Geetu Josi.
The RIDS is awarded to institutions that successfully integrate international perspectives into teaching and learning, enabling students to develop global awareness, cross-cultural understanding, critical thinking, collaboration, and responsible citizenship, a press release from the school management said on Wednesday.
Receiving the honour, Mr. Gopinath Guduri said, “It reflects our shared vision of providing an education that prepares students to thrive in a globally connected world while remaining rooted in strong values. We sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to this remarkable achievement.”
