All arrangements are being made at two locations in Kurnool city for the immersion of Ganesh idols.

According to Industries and Commerce Minister and Kurnool MLA T.G. Bharath Gupta, necessary arrangements are being made to conduct the Ganesh idols immersion at the Vinayaka Ghat on the K-C Canal and the Handri-Neeva site near the Nannur toll gate.

With the non-availability of water in Sunkesula barrage upstream, the administration has asked the pandal organisers not to install big Plaster of Paris idols earlier. However, with the request of the Ganesh Mahotsav Central Committee, measures have been taken to conduct the immersion at the Vinayaka Ghat on the K-C Canal.

Inspecting the immersion arrangements at the Handri-Neeva site near Nannur Toll Gate and the Vinayaka Ghat, Mr. Bharath said the Handri-Neeva site near Nannur toll gate is suitable for immersion of big sized Ganesh idols.
