Kumaraswamy slams Priyank Kharge for raising issues concerning RSS

Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has criticized Congress leaders for questioning the funding sources of the RSS. He urged them to focus on regional development issues in Kalyan Karnataka and address the lack of basic infrastructure in state schools.
Why it matters
This highlights ongoing political friction between the JD(S)-BJP alliance and the Congress government in Karnataka regarding governance and ideological accountability.
The Congress should worry about its sources of funding before talking about the funding of the RSS, Union Minister and Janata Dal(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy said in Guledgud of Bagalkot district on Sunday.
“Why should the Congress leaders keep talking about the sources of funding of the RSS? Have they introspected on their source of funding? Have they built the party by bringing money from their house? They should first worry about their funding, before talking about others,” he said.
“I want to ask Home Minister Priyank Kharge, who has been raising such issues, about the progress of development schemes in the Kalyan Karnataka region. Is the Kalyan Karnataka Region Development Board working properly? Have you been able to stop mass migration of labour from Kalyan Karnataka region? What are you doing about the distress being faced by the weavers of Bagalkot and other districts?” he asked.
