Kukatpally has record number of SIR rejections in Telangana at 32%

Kukatpally constituency has singularly topped the rejection list so far in the ongoing notice period of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in the State. The constituency, which is part of Medchal Malkajgiri district, has recorded a whopping 32% rejection rate, despite its relatively lower number of hearings conducted.
State wide, across 119 constituencies, the number of electors found ineligible for final rolls stands at 397, which is only a minuscule portion (0.16%) of the total 2,35,365 hearings held, as the numbers stand on September 2, 2026.
Of the total rejections, a total 228 were recorded in Medchal Malkajgiri district alone, accounting for 0.67% of the total 33,551 hearings held up to the aforementioned date.
