KTR writes to CM, asks details about 8,000 acres of 'encroached’ lands in Sircilla

Ahead of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s scheduled visit to Sircilla on September 30, the working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and local MLA K.T. Rama Rao demanded that the government release a White Paper on the constituency’s development, including the ‘encroachment’ of 8,000 acres by BRS leaders, as being alleged by the government.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister on Sunday, the BRS leader asked the Chief Minister to make public the details of 2,400 acres ‘recovered’, as claimed by the government, out of the 8,000 acres of land allegedly ‘encroached’ by BRS leaders in Sircilla constituency.

Terming the allegation of the Chief Minister made in the Assembly about the alleged encroachment, Mr. Rama Rao said it was baseless and explained that from 2014 to 2023, only 1,272 acres of land were distributed among the poor in Sircilla district, including 204 acres in Sircilla Assembly Constituency.
