KTR seeks Supreme Court probe into SIR process, demands CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s removal

Rama Rao (KTR) has demanded the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and urged the Supreme Court to take suo motu cognisance of alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and order an independent investigation headed by a sitting judge.
In a post on social media on Friday (October 9, 2026), Mr. Rao asserted that the Constitution of India was supreme and that no Indian citizen could be deprived of the right to vote. He maintained that no individual was above an institution and questioned the need to protect one person at the cost of the rights of citizens.
