KTR flays Gajwel MRO for ‘insulting’ farmers

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has demanded action against a Gajwel MRO for allegedly telling farmers to commit suicide. The official reportedly made the insensitive remarks when farmers approached him regarding land issues.
Why it matters
The incident raises concerns about administrative accountability and the treatment of citizens by government officials.
Working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) K.T. Rama Rao demanded that action be taken against the Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO-Tahsildar) of Gajwel in Siddipet district for his alleged remarks asking some farmers who represented their problems to him on why they did not consume pesticide to end their life.
In a statement, Mr. Rama Rao said on Saturday that the MRO had insulted the farmers who went to meet him regarding an issue related to their lands. Stating that it was not acceptable, he sought to know how an officer in a responsible position could act so inhumanly against farmers. Instead of resolving their problem, the MRO had belittled the farmers.
