KSH Automotive donates library racks, TV sets to welfare hostels in Sri Sathya Sai district
KSH Automotive Private Limited has donated library racks and 20 smart televisions to 25 government welfare hostels in the Sri Sathya Sai district. The initiative aims to improve educational resources and skill development for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Why it matters
Corporate social responsibility efforts are increasingly being used to bridge the digital divide in rural educational infrastructure.
Corporate social responsibility initiatives received a fillip in Sri Sathya Sai district on Monday, as Penukonda-based KSH Automotive Private Limited donated library racks and 20 smart televisions to 25 college hostels run by the government welfare departments across the district.
District Collector A. Shyam Prasad handed over 43-inch smart televisions to authorities of 10 hostels functioning under the Backward Classes, SC and ST Welfare departments in Dharmavaram and Penukonda divisions during a programme held at Revenue building here.
The support would go a long way in enhancing students’ learning opportunities and contribute to their skill development by improving access to educational and informational resources within the hostel premises, the Collector said.
