KSEAB to provide question papers for SSLC mid-term exams

The Department of School Education and Literacy (DSEL) in Karnataka has announced that the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will prepare and distribute question papers for the upcoming SSLC mid-term examinations. The papers will be uploaded to school logins on exam day for printing, with strict measures in place to prevent malpractice such as leaking or copying. This initiative aims to standardize and improve the assessment process for students.
Why it matters
This initiative aims to standardize and improve the assessment process for SSLC students, helping them prepare for final exams, while also addressing concerns about examination integrity through stringent anti-malpractice protocols, ensuring fairness and academic rigor.
The Department of School Education and Literacy (DSEL) has decided to conduct the state-level Summative Assessment-1 (SA-1) — mid-term examinations — for SSLC students from September 23 to 30.
“We have decided to conduct the state-level SA-1 for SSLC students of the 2026–27 academic year. This SA-1 will be conducted following the model of the preparatory examination. This will help in assessing the students’ academic progress to date. We have taken measures to conduct this examination in a highly organised manner, which will assist students in preparing for the final examination,” Minister for School Education and Literacy Madhu Bangarappa said.
