A Krishna Darshan exhibition and sale is being organised by the Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation (Poompuhar) at its sales centre on Mettur Road in Erode till September 4 as part of Krishna Jayanti celebrations.
The exhibition features a variety of traditional handicrafts depicting Lord Krishna, including paper-pulp, clay, panchaloha, brass, Aligarh brass, wooden and sandalwood idols. Krishna figures in Thanjavur paintings and black-and-white metal idols, besides panchaloha pendants, are also on display. The products are priced between ₹150 and ₹20,000.
The Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation organises exhibitions and sales throughout the year to provide artisans with market opportunities and promote traditional handicrafts.
