KPSC veterinary officers recruitment scam: Gangwar, Kannale remanded in 14-day judicial custody
An IAS officer and his associate have been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody following an investigation into recruitment irregularities at the Karnataka Public Service Commission. The CID is probing potential tampering with exam evidence.

After spending 10 days in CID custody, IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar and his alleged associate Basavaraj Kannale were produced before the court on Wednesday (September 9) and remanded in 14 days of judicial custody in connection with the alleged irregularities in the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) Veterinary Officers’ recruitment examination.
The CID produced the duo before the First ACMM Court after completing their custodial interrogation. The investigating agency told the court that it did not require their custody at present, but reserved the option of seeking their custody again if necessary during the investigation.
After hearing the CID’s submissions, the court remanded Gangwar and Kannale in judicial custody for 14 days.
