KPSC ‘scam’: Priyank Kharge offers to quit politics even if there is iota of evidence against him

Mudslinging over the alleged KPSC recruitment scam pertaining to the appointment of Assistant Executive Engineers in the Rural Drinking Water Supply Scheme on Monday led to Home Minister Priyank Kharge offering to resign if “even an iota of evidence” was provided of his involvement. Mr. Kharge challenged Union Minister for Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy to retire from politics if any BJP or JD(S) involvement was found in the alleged scam. He suspected that the launch of investigation by the Enforcement Department was to protect the BJP personalities.
Mr. Kharge, who was responding to allegations made by Mr. Kumaraswamy, told presspersons: “If my involvement is proven, I am ready to forego politics entirely. Even my family will not come (to politics).”
