KPK Probes Alleged Bribery in BPK Audit of Muara Enim Regency

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently tracing the directives that have influenced the South Sumatra Representative of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) in altering the audit results of Muara Enim Regency Government. The investigation goes through the alleged bribery case related to the conditioning of the audit.KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the investigation was initiated after the investigators found an initial agreement regarding a certain amount to alter the audit results of Muara Enim Regency Government. "This then became the subject of investigation by the investigators, including the involvement of private parties," Budi said at the KPK building in South Jakarta on Thursday, July 16, 2026.Budi explained that a private party named Augusz Dewanggara, also known as Angga, allegedly communicated with parties in the Supreme Audit Agency to alter the audit results. In this case, Angga has been named as a bribery suspect.
