PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has stepped up preparations for an HPV vaccination initiative aimed at preventing cervical cancer, with Secretary Health Fayyaz Ali Shah directing departments and partner organizations to complete all arrangements within the stipulated timeline.
Fayyaz Ali Shah chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee on Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination, where the Director General Health Services briefed participants on progress made so far, ongoing activities and preparations for the upcoming initiative.

The secretary called for close coordination among all relevant departments and partner organizations, emphasizing effective planning, public awareness and timely implementation to ensure the success of the vaccination initiative.
He directed the authorities to ensure that field-level arrangements, human resources, logistics, communication activities and monitoring mechanisms were in place before the initiative moves forward.
