KP leads provinces in cabinet and legislative activity, claims law minister

Peshawar - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law, Human Rights and Parliamentary Affairs Aftab Alam has claimed that the province is leading other provinces in democratic decision-making, citing the frequency of cabinet meetings and the performance of legislative and cabinet committees.
Commenting on statistics released regarding the performance of provincial governments, the minister said cabinet committees in other provinces remained inactive and the legislative process was moving at a slower pace, whereas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bills were presented before the cabinet and subsequently the provincial assembly after detailed scrutiny at the committee level.

He attributed what he described as the higher number and quality of cabinet agendas and decisions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the province's committee-based decision-making process.
