KP govt launches paid internship programme for unemployed youth

ABBOTTABAD - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a six-month paid internship pro gramme to enhance the practical skills and employability of poor and unemployed youth in the province.

The programme has been launched under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Economic Transformation Project (KP-RETP) in col laboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical Education and Vocational Train ing Authority (KP-TEVTA).

Under the programme, young people with vocational and practical training in various fields will be provided opportunities to gain practical work experience at government technical institutions and technical institu tions operated or supported by KP-TEVTA.

Special opportunities have also been re served for women under the programme, with 50 percent of the available quota allo cated to female candidates.
