Konda Surekha’s explanation under disciplinary panel scrutiny, says Mallu Ravi

The Congress party's disciplinary committee is reviewing the conduct of Minister Konda Surekha and her daughter following controversial remarks. No final decision has been made as the committee continues to examine evidence and complaints.
Why it matters
Internal party discipline and the conduct of public officials are essential for maintaining political accountability and public trust.
Congress MP and party disciplinary committee chairman Mallu Ravi said on Saturday that the committee had examined the explanation given by Minister Konda Surekha and videos of remarks made by her daughter Konda Sushmitha, but had not taken any decision on the matter yet.
Speaking after a meeting of the disciplinary committee, Mr. Ravi said the panel had discussed several issues at length and examined complaints received from party leaders. He said some MLAs had also indicated that they would submit complaints to the committee and all such representations would be considered before arriving at a decision.
Referring to the remarks attributed to Ms. Sushmitha, Mr. Ravi said they were inappropriate and amounted to making objectionable comments against the Chief Minister by treating him as an ordinary individual. He said the committee had examined the relevant videos.
