Kompany among Ballon d’Or Men’s Coach of the Year nominees
Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has been nominated for the 2026 Ballon d'Or Men's Coach of the Year award. He joins a list of elite managers including Mikel Arteta and Luis Enrique following a successful season with the German club.

The five nominees for the 2026 Ballon d'Or Men's Coach of the Year award were announced on Tuesday, with Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany among them.
Kompany, who led Bayern to the German double and the Champions League semi-finals, faces competition from Arsenal 's Mikel Arteta, Spain's Luis de la Fuente, PSG 's Luis Enrique and Aston Villa 's Unai Emery.
Arteta won the Premier League with Arsenal, De la Fuente guided Spain to the 2026 World Cup, Enrique led PSG to the Ligue 1 title and Champions League glory, while Emery won the Europa League with Aston Villa and guided the club to a fourth-place finish in the Premier League.
